The London Region is pleased to offer Distinction Advisory Day covering Associateship in the Natural History category.
ALL ATTENDEES MUST PREBOOK.
Before applying for advice, you should read the sections of the Society's Distinction Handbook relevant to your needs. The ARPs handbook can be downloaded from here. There is also a lot of useful information under the Distinctions section of the website.
Observing (£10) is a good introduction to the distinctions process and you will see the advice given. Observers are asked not to bring any of their own work to the event.
The day is for anyone, whether or not a member of the RPS, to obtain constructive advice on proposed submissions for Associateship.
For ARPS advice, you need to bring a panel of 15 mounted prints together with up to 15 spares (these do not need to be mounted).
While the new website is ‘bedding-in’, it would be helpful, after you have completed the booking procedure, if you could email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we can ensure that you have a place.
Tea, coffee and water will be provided but lunch is not included. There are plenty of cafes and shops within a five minute walk of the venue.
Although there is free street parking on Sundays, it tends to fill up quickly. We would therefore recommend public transport. Pimlico tube station (Victoria Line) is two minutes away and Victoria Station is a fifteen minute walk. The venue is also well served by buses. For further information about getting here, see the Transport for London website.
