Special Travel Advisory Day - Sunday 4th May 2014, Hexham, Northumberland

What is Travel Photography?

The day will start with an introduction to travel photography and a look at, and analysis of, some successful Associateship Travel print panels sent from Bath. Following this, Leo Palmer FRPS, Chair of the Travel Distinctions Panel, will digitally project some of his own travel images. This will include samples of what is and isn’t travel photography as well as some travel projects.

How to start building a travel Associateship panel will be explained.

The myth that travel photography is simply holiday snaps will be dispelled. Exactly where the dividing line is between travel and visual art will be clearly defined.

After lunch some members will talk about their successful ARPS Travel submissions.

There will then be feedback from Leo on prospective ARPS panels (PRINTS ONLY) brought by members of the audience. Feedback places are very limited and must be booked well in advance.

The Torch Centre is on the A695 directly opposite Hexham General Hospital.
