Day 1 of a weekend of Bleeding London activity with the novel's author Geoff Nicholson.
10.30 Meet at the Pre-Fab Museum, Catford. Tour of Museum. Free, but suggested donation of £2 per head. The pop-up museum houses a body of work, curated by Elisabeth Blanchet, depicting the history of the Excalibur Estate, one of the largest remaining pre-fabricated estates in London and due for demolition later this year. The museum is situated in an original pre-fabricated house.
13.00 Pub Lunch (venue to be confirmed). Participants to pay for their own refreshments.
14.30 Greenwich walk starts – a circuitous walk from Catford to Greenwich to collect some streets from the SE postcode area for Bleeding London (approximately 5 miles). It is not essential to walk all five miles, you can simply walk and photograph a couple of streets, then hop on the bus to Greenwich. Free.
18.30 - 22.00 Launch party in Greenwich. Geoff will be announcing the winner of our GMT competition and presenting the prize. Entry is free. There will be a voluntary donation for drinks.
Optional supper of traditional pie, mash and liquor £5 a head (veggie option available) - pay on the night but please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your pie, indicating whether you want meat or vegetarian.
