The second day of our Bleeding London launch weekend with author Geoff Nicholson and this time we’re snapping around north London.
Abney Park Cemetery 14.00 to 16.30 (Free, but donation suggested)
One of the "magnificent seven" cemeteries, Abney Park offers a wonderfully photogenic backdrop, with some grand Victorian memorials, some not so grand crumbling headstones, the gothic chapel (designed by Hosking) and a resplendence of nature and wildlife (Abney is a designated Local Nature Reserve).
There will be an optional treasure hunt and clues will be issued on arrival.
From Abney to Hackney 17:30 to 19:30 (Free)
Although less than two miles, we want to cover a few more squares of the A to Z, so we’ll be taking a number of different circuitous routes from the cemetery to Hackney. On arrival, small groups of participants will be given some squares from the A to Z to cover.
Dinner at LMNT From 19:30 (Not free)
We’ll be finishing the day with dinner at “London’s most eccentric dining room”, LMNT in Hackney. Spaces are limited and to make a reservation, please email us at London@rps.org.
