Fellowship Advisory Day.
21September 2014
St Mary Bourne Village Hall, Bourne Meadow, St Mary Bourne, Andover, SP11 6BE
This is a rare opportunity to attend a Fellowship Advisory Day outside of Bath being hosted by the Southern Region. Numbers are strictly limited to just 12 persons. The advisory days is open only to those presenting a Fellowship Panel and we can not accommodate observers.
Who May Attend
Only those eligible to apply for Fellowship ie, current members of the Society with ARPS, may attend a Fellowship Advisory Day. Due to the limited availability of places, members may attend only one Fellowship Advisory Day anywhere unless bringing an entirely different body of work, and the Distinctions Department will maintain a central list of attendance.
Format
Each Fellowship Advisory Day will be led by two advisors appointed by the Distinctions Department, with up to twelve participants. There will be no additional observers, and the format will be a round-table discussion using prints. Other media (slides, projected digital, audiovisual, moving image) are not feasible.
Preparation and what to bring
Preparation for Fellowship has to be taken seriously. Those booking for an advisory day must be certain that they will attend and that they will have their work ready for discussion. It is unreasonable to cancel except for urgent personal/health reasons.
Participants must be fully familiar with the relevant sections of the current Distinctions Handbook applicable to their intended topic.
Participants are expected to bring:
· A draft of the Statement, as described in the Distinctions Handbook.
· A significant body of work for discussion, meaning 20-30 prints. Prints should be mounted. There is a very limited capacity to handle un-mounted prints.
· As Fellowship requires all new work, you should not bring more than a few examples of work previously used for Associateship.
