The Yorkshire Region and The Contemporary NE Group invite you to join them at The Crown Room, The Royal York Hotel in York to hear Paul Hill MBE talk.

Paul is an established and extraordinary photographer with a much published and exhibited repertoire of images.

A former member of the Arts Council’s first photography committee in the1970s, he helped instigate the trend-setting MA Photography course at De Montfort University and, before that, the Derby Festival of Photography in 1991.

A major influence on British Contemporary Photography includes being the founding chairman of the Contemporary Group of the RPS and authoring Dialogue with Photography, Approaching Photography, and in 2010, Corridor of Uncertainty.

The first part of the day will see Paul talking about his early work and how it has developed to where it is today. See

A Buffet lunch will be provided and give time for socializing followed by a group portfolio critique in the afternoon. This will be a chance to show your own photography, and get feedback from Paul, who will use this opportunity to discuss  sequencing prints, and how to approach galleries and publishers.
