Producing a good photobook

The popularity of the photobook has grown hugely in the last 10 years. This talk and workshop will take attendees from the camera club photobook to the international award winning photobook, showing examples by 'page-turning' videos.

Brian Steptoe FRPS has concentrated in recent years on becoming an expert in the photobook genre. He will bring examples of his own and other photographer's winning books for you to browse.

There will be a workshop for attendees to try their hand at photo selection and sequencing for photobooks, following the methods used by professionals in the field. Popular photobook publishers, such as Blurb and Bob’s Books will also be discussed.

See for information on the Society Photobook Exhibition 2016. Join for ideas and to join in discussions.

This will be a great opportunity to meet & greet members in the Southern Region, to share ideas with anyone thinking of producing their own photobook or for those preparing for the RPS Photobook Exhibition. Feel free to bring your own photobook along for expert comment.
