Notice is hereby given for the 2016 Annual General Meeting. The Annual General meeting will be held on 13th November 2016 at 10:30am. We invite you to cast your Nomination for Candidate for election to the Southern Region Committee. Nominations for the three ‘officer’ posts on committee will include;

  • Regional Organiser
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

We also welcome any other volunteers to join the team.

You can nominate yourself or someone else, however only RPS members can be elected and only members of the Southern Region can vote at the subsequent ballot. The nomination will need a proposer and seconder.

Talk by President Walter Benzie 

We are delighted to welcome RPS President Walter Benzie who will share his experiences of the highs and lows of achieving his L and A Distinction 


The meeting is open to all members of the Southern Region.  It is anticipated that the actual meeting will only take 10 - 15 minutes to complete. To ensure that we are quorate and so that we can ensure sufficient refreshment, it would be helpful if you could advise of your intention to attend beforehand by emailing

The Annual General Meeting will make place at 10:30am and is open to members of the Southern Region only.

Hearing and access requirements

Car Parking and Access The very large Recreation Ground Car Park adjoins the Hall. There are 4 disabled parking spaces reserved by the entrance to the hall and easy wheelchair access to the whole building. Note: Access to the Hall and the car park is restricted by a barrier to vehicles exceeding 2.2m (7ft 2ins) in height.
