This is one of four photo-walks planned for each of the four seasons, starting in Spring 2017.

Visit the wonderful landscape garden created by Charles Hamilton back in the mid 1700's and explore the changes of the seasons there. Complete with river, lake. woodland and wonderful views, all set in the north Surrey countryside.

Approximately 3 miles of quite easy walking but with some gravel and grassy slopes in places. Be advised that it can get a little muddy so boots are sometimes to be recommended.

Plenty of parking available, a nice cafe and usual facilities.

There is an entrance fee of £8 (£7 for concessions) which is to be paid on entry by the visitor.

Participants are free to stay as long as they like until park closing time at 17:00.

Bad weather makes all the difference to an enjoyable visit so, if it is forecast, a few days beforehand we might email or phone members who have registered to see if altering the date by a day or so would be feasible.

Getting to Painshill Park:

By Car:

Hearing and access requirements

The walk as described is not suitable to those who have walking difficulties. However there is a shorter accessible route of about 1.5 miles around the landscape garden for those who need wheel chair access or anyone having difficulty walking the longer distance. If this is of interest, please contact the event organiser to discuss your needs.
