RPS London has once again teamed up with the Nikon School to offer our members excellent training courses at competitive prices.  This workshop will show you how to visualise and capture inspiring images of property, working with both ambient and man made light.   During this workshop we will shoot interior and exterior locations to build your skills and confidence in tackling many diverse lighting situations.

OVERVIEW OF COURSE CONTENTS:

During this workshop you will learn how to photograph the interior and exterior of buildings.The workshop will also teach you how to control exposure and balance ambient and man made light to create atmosphere in your images to make them stand out. During the day we will also cover more advanced techniques such as using Speedlights to light large spaces, and the skills required to create high dynamic range images that show incredible levels of detail.

Topics covered will include:
• Which equipment to use
• Camera settings
• Image Composition
• Shooting interior images
• Shooting exterior images
• Working on location, considerations and challenges
• Exposing for maximum detail in shadows & highlights
• Getting the correct White Balance
• Simulating ambient light
• Creating depth and backgrounds with light
• Working with slow exposures

It is assumed that those attending will have a basic knowledge of photography and have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed and exposure, or have already attended the Getting Started with DSLR Photography workshop.

Opening times

This Event is governed by Nikon's Booking Terms, as follows: Minimum Number Level Nikon training seminars and courses have been designed with a particular group size and competence level in mind. In order to ensure that the training is as successful as possible for all delegates, we have a minimum number of delegates required to attend each course. If the seminar or course you have booked has not yet reached the minimum delegate number level; your Credit or Debit Card will be debited in the normal way, but, in the unlikely event that the minimum number level is not reached within 7 calendar days of the advertised seminar or Course date, you will receive an e-mail from Nikon UK confirming that the Seminar or Course has been cancelled and your Credit or Debit Card will be credited with the full amount paid. For international courses we will endeavor to contact you around 8 weeks in advance of the course start date.

Cancellation policy

This is a Nikon Course and is governed by their Cancellation Policies below: Should you wish to cancel a booking, for whatever reason, we ask that you provide us with as much notice as possible. For some external courses that involve overnight stays we may require a deposit that will be non-refundable if a cancellation is made. We will need to be notified of cancellations 30 days in advance of the course start date for the course fee to be refundable. In all other cases, if you cancel a booking within the time periods set out below, the following cancellation fees will apply and will be debited from your Credit or Debit Card to cover administration costs: • 3 Months prior to Seminar/Course date = 10% of fee • 2 Months prior to Seminar/Course date = 20% of fee • 1 Month prior to Seminar/Course date = 50% of fee • Within 7 days of Seminar/Course date = No refund available. To cancel a Seminar or Course booking, please contact us with your booking information. In exceptional circumstances when a last minute cancellation is made within 7 days prior to the course running date we may be able to transfer you to another course instead, for this there would be a £20 charge.
