Peter Basterfield ARPS, the doyen of the region’s Nature photographers, will give a talk on "The wildlife in your garden"

This is a little wider than “Birds in flight“ but gives an indication that you really don''t have to travel abroad, in order to photograph wildlife.

All of the images (bar one—explanation will be given) have been taken in a garden, the vast majority his own garden, with neighbours and friends for some, but ALL in the UK. He is hoping that the members will be astonished at the variety of wildlife within their garden and will come away with a much improved knowledge of the lives led by the common garden birds that they often take for granted.

He says “If there is time, and the members can tolerate them, I will follow with some of my winning and favourite images, many of which will be birds in flight”.
