The Archaeology and Heritage group are organising a visit to Kenilworth castle, where we will have the opportunity to photograph the venue (tripods are allowed), discuss heritage photography topics, and other issues, in a friendly atmosphere.

From medieval fortress to Elizabethan palace, Kenilworth Castle has been at the centre of England's affairs for much of its 900 year history. Today, you can scale the heights of the tower built to woo Queen Elizabeth I and marvel at the mighty Norman keep. Explore the exhibition in the Gatehouse, and imagine the majesty of the Great Hall playing host to medieval monarchs and early Tudor kings.

We will meet at the car park at 10.00. There is a tea room which also serves light lunches between 12 and 3pm.

This event is free, but entrance fees to the property may apply.

This is an English Heritage property. For non-members, entrance costs £10.70 for adults (£11.80 with gift aid), concessions £9.60 (£ 10.60 with gift aid). Discounts for groups, so please let the organiser know well in advance.

Please make sure you inform the event organiser if you wish to attend.
