Presentations and the Len Deeley Memorial Trophy PDI Competition

Morning: Four short talks by our DIG Members:-
Chas Hockin presents “Time Lapse Video and post processing” showing us how he takes the images and processes them to make a video
Chris Tank presents “Digital Heritage, a Closer Look” The internet combined with developments in digital imaging has allowed art galleries, museums and educational institutions to give public access to extensive heritage collections. Chris will discuss some of the challenges that face a photographer when photographing works of art and show how digital imaging has allowed us all to take 'a closer look' at priceless heritage collections.
John Jennings presents “Creative Dance Photography” images which will include techniques such as dragged shutter, multiple exposures, multiple flash and/or strobed flash combined with some level of continuous light
Steve Galvin presents Highlights from his “On Safari” talk culminating in telling us how he took the winning image from our PDI final last year of a family group of elephants in South Africa

Afternoon:  We have the Len Deeley Memorial Trophy PDI Competition which will be judged by Jim Pascoe BA ABIPP ARPS

Biography: Jim is a professional photographer and has run his business with his wife Nicky for 19 years.  They mostly photograph people including families, weddings and commercial portraiture. Outside of work they are also keen amateurs and are members of Highcliffe and Infinity Photography Club on the Hampshire, Dorset border. They live in Barton on Sea.
