This group B event (some basic tuition available) will focus on long exposure images of the structures to be found on the seafront around Brighton.

The timings are approximate but are included so that you will know roughly how long to get a parking tickets for at the various car parks.

09:45 Registration – meet and greet in the Old Fort carpark Forthaven, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 5HY. You will need to pay for parking here. The local council is very vigilant and enforces parking regulations very thoroughly.

Photography in the harbour.  Photographs of jetties, water falling over ramps, waves breaking against the sea wall, groynes in the harbour.

11:45 Leave for Carats Café, Basin Road south Southwick Brighton, BN41 1UQ

Photography of posts, groynes and seascapes. Lunch in café if required. There is a pay and display car park here.

14:00 Leave for Brighton sea front BN1 2LN. This is next to the new vertical eye. Sadly, you will also need to pay for parking here – this is by far the priciest of the day.

Photography of old pier at Brighton

17:00 Close – we will be right next to Finn Hopson’s Gallery so you can drop in there if you want to see his work. It is of the surrounding area with some in Brighton and some on the South Downs. Well worth a look.

Please bring your camera, your big and little stoppers, other filters, a tripod and cable release. Although this is not a workshop as such we will try and help you with exposure etc if you are struggling to get it right.

Change for pay and display machines you will need ca. £8 in change.

It is up to you if you would like to have lunch in the café or bring a packed lunch.
