Morning: Travel Photography - Building a portfolio. During the morning sessions Matt will talk about how you can build a comprehensive portfolio of travel photography images. This will cover his approach to planning (locations, research, itinerary, equipment) as well as on location; getting around, staying safe, carrying kit, what to shoot and when.

Matt will also break down the different genres of travel photography that can take you out of your comfort zone and make you a more versatile photographer. Matt will also share his opinion on what makes a good travel photographer and tips for making a compelling travel image.

The morning will finish with a look at the different outlets for your images and how this can impact what and how you shoot.

Afternoon: Travel Photography - Focus on technique, ethics and workflow. In the afternoon Matt will break down a technique into more detail. Focusing on long exposures, and covering the settings and approach required to capture amazing cityscape images, and looking at how this technique can be applied to a variety of other applications.

Then, to get the audience involved Matt will discuss some of the ethics of travel photography and the impact it can have. The afternoon will round off with a demonstration of his editing workflow to show you what happens once the shooting ends.
