Roger Ford FRPS EFIAP/g and Angela Ford ARPS EFIAP

Roger and Angela have been active in photography for over 40 years. Their photography has evolved with their styles and interests developing in different ways.
Roger’s work demonstrates how he finds something compelling about creating an image which cannot be seen by the naked eye or retained in the mind.
In a similar vein, he enjoys catching that moment of juxtaposition when the reality unfolds to reveal a scene which tells a story, asks questions and preferably creates an emotional re-sponse.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) which he was awarded with a panel of monochrome prints in the Pictorial Section.
He has had images accepted/awarded in RPS International Exhibitions and enters Interna-tional Photographic Salons under the patronage of the International Federation of Photo-graphic Art (FIAP).
He currently has reached the level of ‘Excellence’ EFIAP/gold during which he has had im-ages accepted in all five continents of the world including a number of medals and other awards.

The Hussars Widow by Roger Ford

Roger is a member of the London Salon of Photography.

Angela has always enjoyed capturing impressions and moods of people and places through photography and continues to be fascinated by its many aspects.
Photography has been an essential part of her life for many years during which time she has achieved an ARPS and an EFIAP exhibiting in International Salons.
Apart from producing images in monochrome and colour, Angela also has a great fascina-tion and empathy with infrared photography.  The love affair with infrared began using Ko-dak infrared film, then moving on to a digital camera which has been converted.
The appeal of infrared is the mysterious and ethereal effect that this has on images of plac-es and people.  The combination of the two presents situations where different narratives can be interpreted. It is this ambiguous element which she finds engaging.
Angela continues to search out situations where the people and the place offer her the op-portunity to convey her own interpretation of the scene.
Whilst living overseas Roger and Angela were both involved in setting up a camera club in Chennai in India and developing an existing club in Abu Dhabi.
They returned to South London in 2010 and now spend their time between Beckenham and La Rochelle in France.
They are both active members of Beckenham Photographic Society and Image’In Perigny in France.
