West Norwood Cemetery (http://www.fownc.org) is the second of London’s ‘Magnificent Seven’ great commercial cemeteries and the first cemetery ever designed throughout in Gothic style. It’s 40 acres now forms the core of the West Norwood Conservation area with 69 listed monuments and structures reflecting the eminent Victorian buried here along side the local wildlife which also resided here. We’ll spend a couple of hours wandering through and photographing it before (optionally) retiring to a local pub for lunch.

Paths may be uneven and wet so please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink to keep you hydrated.

We meet at West Norwood Station which is served by Southern and lies in Travelcard Zone 3.
