Mayfair was literally named after the ‘May Fair’ which took place at Shepherd Market. It has become, since the Fair was moved for being too rowdy, one of London’s most prestigious districts. Still residential, if you can afford it, the area is now mainly commercial with many famous shops. This is an opportunity to mix with the high-end shoppers and maybe pretend for a while that you can afford to ‘Christmas shop’ there as well!

We will walk the main streets of Mayfair but take in some of the alternative points of interest, Grosvenor Square, a garden or two, some famous residents and the odd architectural reference. We Return to Oxford Street where you can continue after the walk with the Shoppers, eat or drink and/ or depart from Bond Street Tube

9:45 for 10:00 am Meet at Bond Street Tube.

Head for the exit to Oxford Street but meet at the Coffee Bar at street level which is at the top of the escalator before the reach the exit.
