The Dry Stone Walling Association (a registered charity) is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018 and, as part of its celebrations, it is planning to produce a book to celebrate and promote this traditional, yet timeless craft.

DSWA2It is seeking stunning, high quality images of dry stone walls in the landscape as well as dry stone structures and features such as bridges, shelters, stiles, etc, from across the UK to  highlight the diverse nature of this building style and material.

The DSWA would welcome entries from as wide a geographical spread as possible and images should be sent to the DSWA office, either via a Dropbox link or similar, by email or on a disk. Details of location and contact details of the photographer should accompany the images. Images are required no later than the end of July in order that a selection can be made and the book prepared.

All selected photographers will receive a copy of the large-format book which will be published in March 2018.

The Association is encouraging all photographers and those with overlapping interests to join it in celebrating this craft Further information available from the DSWA office, email information@dswa.org.uk  or contact Alison Shaw on 015395 67953.
