£3,000 RPS President’s Bursary

22 February 2019

Are You a Hundred Heroines Nominee?

Have you got a new idea that you’d like to explore using your photography and need some funding?  If so, The RPS could help you realise it.

Send us a proposal detailing your idea by the end of March 2019 and you could receive a £3,000 RPS President’s Bursary to produce a new body of work, supported by a 12-month mentorship programme.

There are no restrictions on your photography project: it could range from investigations with found photography, a 3D installation, digital artwork or enquiries into augmented and virtual reality. We are particularly interested to see experimental work.

There are no submission fees.

Who Can Apply?

We’re inviting all Hundred Heroines nominees, excluding those who were selected for the final 100, to propose their ideas for a body of new photographic work.

What We Ask For in Return:

  • A vlog and/or blog for theRPS and Heroines websites.
  • That you deliver a talk/slideshow/film about your work.
  • That the RPS has a licence to reproduce your work for publicity and promotional purposes in connection with the bursary scheme.

How To Apply:

Send us the following:

  • A maximum 500 word statement outlining your ideas.
  • 6 images from your existing work which highlight your style, approach or interests.

Save these documents using your first and second name and email them to 100heroines@rps.org via WeTransfer (or similar) by midnight GMT on 31st March 2019, using ‘President’s Bursary’ as your email subject line.

Please include your full contact details in your email.
