Statement of Intent
As wedding photographers we have little control over the elements that go together to create the wedding photographs. We have to work with the style, the location, and the personalities that we are presented with on the day. Always working within very tight time constraints and generally in less than perfect weather conditions and light. In the chaos that is a wedding day, it would be all too easy to admit defeat and deliver standard snapshots.
My aim with this panel of work was to demonstrate that despite the challenges that a wedding throws up, it is possible to develop an individual style and to produce work of the highest standard. Using available light, my intention was to produce a classic set of timeless images that capture the beauty of my subjects, and incorporate a little bit of the drama and romance of the wedding day.
