The monthly competition is open to all RPS members, at all levels of photographic ability.

Enter your ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES themed images online from 25th March 2019 

Each file will need to be under 5MBs and Jpeg format. Maximum size is 2500px on the longest side (in sRGB colour space).  

Please note: Your member login for will not work on the competition website - you will need to register and create your login.

Once the competition has closed, RPS staff will anonymously select a shortlist of entries which will be open to a public vote. One winner from the public vote, and the two most popular in a staff vote will become the three winners for the month. The winners will feature in the next issue of the RPS Journal. 

This months competition is looking at the theme of environmental issues running alongside the opening of Mandy Barker's exhibition Altered Ocean (4 April - 23 June 2019, RPS House Bristol). Mandy Barker ARPS is an international award-winning photographer whose work investigates the issue of marine plastic debris. Working with scientists she aims to raise awareness about plastic pollution in the world's oceans to highlight current research of the effects on marine life and ultimately ourselves. 

Environmental Bursary The Royal Photographic Society in partnership with The Photographic Angle is offering a 1 year bursary to support a photographic project that will promote environmental awareness - for more information click here

I am unable to gain access to the monthly competition site. A massage keeps blocking me saying "THIS SITE IS UNSAFE. SOMEONE MAY BE TRYING TO SCAM YOU" Are you aware this is happening.
