Flora & Fauna - Wildlife & Countryside act 1981

09 February 2017

Region: Headquarters

As the spring and summer seasons fast approach the Natural History Chairman would like to take the opportunity to remind all photographers that here in the UK certain flora & fauna species are protected by the wildlife and countryside act 1981. The act contains strict laws which prohibit these species handling and disturbance and with respect to birds restricts activities around and near sensitive nesting sites.

These species can be photographed but some will require a license in order to do so.

It's not just birds - so please go online and check, cause no disturbance and do make sure you're not breaking any laws.
