RPS London member Brian Griffin Hon FRPS has launched an exciting Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for his forthcoming book POP – an exhilarating journey through the music of the 1970s and 1980s portrayed through Brian’s photography of album covers and portraits as well as some revealing interviews and essays. POP promises to be the go-to reference for all things musical in the Post Punk, New Wave and New Romantic movements.

The hardback book comprises more than 350 pages featuring 160 album covers from bands and musicians such as Ian Dury, The Clash, Depeche Mode, Echo And The Bunnymen, Iggy Pop, Kate Bush, The Specials and Elvis Costello.

The campaign offers a host of goodies for every budget, starting at £35 for a signed copy of the book, which comes with the chance to win a trip to Poland for the launch in October.  And for those with deeper pockets, there’s the chance to buy the book with various signed prints, including the ultimate reward of a book, print and album (A Broken Frame) signed by both Brian and Depeche Mode.

‘I’m thrilled to see this project coming to fruition’ says Griffin.  ‘It’s been a sensational trip down memory lane.’
