RPS Journal writer awarded for Jeff Bridges interview

The journalist Teddy Jamieson has been named writer of the year – specialist magazines for a trio of articles he wrote for The RPS Journal.

Jamieson was awarded at the PPA Scottish Magazine Awards for his insightful interviews with the actor Jeff Bridges, Mary McCartney and Todd Gray, who was personal photographer to Michael Jackson.

The PPA judges said: ‘In a crowded market, this writer has a distinctive, fresh and memorable voice. He is quite simply an incredible storyteller who leaves you wanting to hunt out everything he’s ever written.'

Jamieson’s interview with Bridges told how actor uses a Widelux camera to photograph cast and crew on each film production. The actor thanked the Journal on his Facebook page for sharing the story of his photography. The post attracted more than 1,800 likes. 

A senior features writer with the Herald and Times, Jamieson was born in Germany and raised in Northern Ireland before moving to Scotland in 1982.
