About Us

Welcome to the South Wales Royal Photographic Society Audio Visual Group.

We are a group of people that enjoy the art form which is Audio Visual (AV). We meet in the Lower Hall of the Heath Citizens Community Centre which is off King George V Drive East (opposite house number 183), Cardiff, CF14 4EP, at 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of the month from September to May each year.

Audio Visual is the art form of dissolving two or more still photographic images with sound accompaniment to create a sequence which can be shown on your television or projected onto a large screen. With modern technology, the sequences are created entirely digitally on a computer, with storytelling central to the AV production.

We have a varied programme which includes evenings when we share our AV productions with each other, visiting speakers from other parts of the UK, and inter-club battles. If you are interested then please come along to one of our meetings; you would be made most welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
