17 February 2017

SIG: Contemporary

Wolfgang Tillmans exhibition '2017' is at Tate Modern, London from 15th February to 11th June 2017. It occupies 14 rooms, each designed by the artist, who supervised and helped assemble the exhibition on 14 Feb. Tillmans work is wide ranging in style and subject, with characteristic presentation features of very wide sizes ranges of photographs in each room, including very large C-prints hung with miniature bulldog clips. He also makes use of numerous vitrines, often with a mix of found photos and reproductions of tear sheets from various publications.

Tillmans is now primarily based in London. He studied photography at Bournemouth Art College from 1990-92.
