Creative Eye Group Glasgow Field trip - Saturday 22nd June

18 July 2019

SIG: Creative Eye

Participants travelled long distances to take part in the Creative Eye Group’s field trip in Glasgow.

After meeting up outside the Gallery of Modern Art, we enjoyed a coffee and a chat at a nearby café then, with perfect weather and cameras ready, we set off in small groups to explore the City.

We were surrounded with excellent photo opportunities, including magnificent and historical architecture, intriguing alleyways for the inquisitive, amazing street art and perfect candidates for street photography.

The climb up the spiral staircase to the top of The Lighthouse, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, was well worth the effort, with a reward of fine views across the City, when reaching the top.

After lunch, we set off again to discover more.

Glasgow is certainly a fine and impressive City and we look forward to the next trip.
