25th February 2018 - Martin Addison FRPS "Looking Outside the Frame"

"How not to take competition winners" - If you want to win competitions you should study what is doing well and copy it in your own way. That is however a very poor way of improving your photography and not very satisfying.

The aim of this presentation is to explore different ways of seeing photographs, looking at many different techniques designed to make you stand out from the other photographers around you. Taking a different approach may not win you prizes, but will result in more diverse and interesting images which will give you greater satisfaction.

The talk starts with prints for the first hour and then onto creative AVs for the second part.

The afternoon session would be showing how to use the Develop module in Lightroom to edit your images and get the best out of them. For those not using Lightroom (why not???), most of the processes can be done in the Camera Raw section of Photoshop. I would be happy to answer any questions people have regarding Lightroom.

Martin runs a four day workshop on Lightroom at Permajet and has been using the program since it was first released
