About this image

This porcelain cow was made at Fürstenberg circa 1760 and modelled by Simon Feilner or Johann Georg Leimberger. The intention behind its inclusion in this arrangement is to disrupt the perception and scrutiny of the individual object; whether it is German porcelain, Georgian mahogany or a SONY reel to reel tape deck. Obsolescence, rarity and damage combine into one whole object that is carefully worked upon and studied though the lens of a 10x8 camera, allowing time and planning to enter into the physicality of the film itself.
