“I want my house to look like the inside of a tree”

About this image

“I wanted to live in the centre of a tree and to design the interior around that theme as well as including memories from my grandfather’s house. Now I’m living in my dream.”

This body of work focuses on the artefacts we surround ourselves with, that tell a story and hold a history about ourselves. We are not always in control of the objects we accumulate; they can entrap us, evoke memories and they can be held in reserve for their future use or used to communicate self-image. The things we associate ourselves with represent part of our identity.
