About this image

I met the three boys on a cold Saturday morning on a street in Great Yarmouth in March 2013, whilst photographing for my project Florida Club. I asked them if I could photograph them as I felt they represented a transformative age group and reflected the changing identity of the town, once a booming British holiday resort, now struggling to adapt and reinvent itself. In recent years, towns like Great Yarmouth have fallen in popularity and the economic downturn has only contributed to the decline. These circumstances bring into question what the future may hold for the British holiday resort, and for young people like Martyn, Sean and Jacob.
