RPS Distinctions Live Talks: Free

Event info

The RPS is proud to announce a new season of free talks with well-known photographers who will talk about their work and their influences. The first is on Thursday 30th April at 18.00 with the internationally renowned landscape photographer Joe Cornish HonFRPS.

Joe will be in conversation with Peter Hayes FRPS speaking about his approach to landscape photography, his early days as an assistant sheep shearer in New Zealand with a Kodak instamatic 125 in his hand, and how he achieves emotion in his images.

He will also speak about the new RPS Landscape Distinctions panel, which he chairs. Quoting the American landscape photographer Robert Adams, Joe says:

“Landscape pictures can offer us, I think, three verities – geography, autobiography, and metaphor.”

Do join us on Thursday 30th April at 18:00 BST for a fascinating live conversation with an icon of the photographic world.

Would you like to ask Joe a question? Then please send your question to andy@rps.org (We will ask as many of your questions as we can)

A link to join the conversation will be emailed on the Wednesday 29th April.
