The RPS International Photography Exhibition returns to Bristol on 15 February to launch its 162nd edition, featuring work from 43 international photographers.
Inspired by the tintype portrait by Paul Adams & Jordan Layton
featured in the exhibition, we have invited Gareth Jarvis, a local tintype portrait photographer to set up a studio at RPS House during the exhibition open day.
Using the wet-collodion process on metal from the nineteenth century, every plate is prepared individually making each a unique one-of-a-kind object that will last for centuries.
Book now to have your portrait taken by Gareth and walk away with your very own tintype portrait for £50. Each plate can accommodate a maximum of two people, with one plate created per booking. Gareth will be running 8 sessions, between 2pm - 5.30pm. Please choose a time slot when booking.

International Photography Exhibition
The International Photography Exhibition (IPE) is an annual international open-call to photographers and image-makers of all ages. Each year, a touring photographic show is curated by some of the most influential people in photography today.
Steeped in history, the IPE has been held almost every year since 1854, the year after The RPS was founded and is the longest running exhibition of its kind in the world. In the early years, the exhibition included work from some of the world's most eminent photographers including Julia Margaret Cameron, Roger Fenton, Edward Steichen and Paul Strand.
