The day will include John’s techniques and tips for producing images with impact. He will lead you through the artistic processes designed to unleash creative potential in macro and art photography John will review ways in which the manipulation and presentation of photographs can be used to enhance their artistic impact.

- The seven techniques for macro photography
- Successful subjects for macro and art photography
- Photoshop set up for art photography
- Key techniques for image manipulation
- Presenting photographs for maximum impact
- The ‘rules’ of photographic composition and when to break them
Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who is looking for new directions for their photography and who is looking to enhance their technical and creative skills. It assumes working knowledge of a compact or SLR camera, and basic familiarity with image processing software such as Photoshop.
What happens on the course?
The course is a stimulating combination of presentations, demonstrations and discussions. Delegates do not need to bring any equipment but are welcome to bring any photographs they would like to show and discuss. Please be aware that there might not be time to look at everyone’s images.
Lunch is included - please let us know if you have any special dietary needs.
The Tutor: John is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. He is an established lecturer and writer who specialises in close-up and creative photography. His work can be viewed on www.johnhumphrey.co.uk

The Society reserves the right to cancel a workshop 7 days prior to its start date - please check your hotel and travel cancellation policy as this may be affected.
If you are attending one of our workshops that involves a trip out, please ensure you bring all weather clothing and protection for your camera. Persons under the age of 16 are welcome to attend events but, to conform with UK law, must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.
