Online Design and Develop a Photobook - Tim Daly

Event info

Fully Booked - next date 4th July.

This course is now delivered online and teaches you how to develop your photographic project into an eye-catching photobook. During the one-day course we look at great examples of photobooks based on travel, landscape and documentary themes. We will explore different formats, shapes, paper types and discuss a wide range of DIY and commercial printing services available. We will also look at low-tech methods for creating prototype books, or dummies, so you can reflect on your sequence and layout ideas while keeping costs to a minimum. Maximum of 10 participants.

Ideal for those with little or no design experience, the course will show you how to design effective layouts for images and text, arranging and sequencing your content, image file preparation and PDF workflows for commercial printing. The course will be led by Tim Daly

The workshop is run using Zoom video conferencing software and you will be able to watch and interact with your tutor during each topic presentation and ask questions throughout the day. All presentations and notes are provided to you before the event starts, together with tips on how to prepare for the course and use Zoom, if you’ve never used it before.

In addition to the presentations, you will be set short practical tasks using your own images. We encourage you to share questions and work in progress images with other delegates, although this is entirely optional.
