The Art of Seeing - online workshop with Benedict Brain ARPS

Event info

Fully Booked- next date 22nd July.

Benedict Brain discusses various approaches to image-making, and how you can apply this to crafting your own photos.

What the day will cover
The focus will be on how and why images have been made through a variety of approaches - some technical, and some conceptual. Find out how you can use this knowledge in your own photography, and apply it to your creative process. This full-day session will be a mixture of theory and practical. Including presentations, discussion and a practical photography exercise.
Images will be reviewed and discussed in an online group environment within the group and the tutor will give helpful feedback and advice. The number seen will depend on the time available.

What you need
You will need a digital camera. It would be useful if you already have a good understanding of how to operate and creatively control your camera, but your tutor will be online to help. It’s not a problem if you’d prefer to simply use a smartphone camera and not let technology get in the way of your creativity and image-making.
You will need to be able to quickly send an image or two to the tutor during the workshop for group discussion so please ensure your workspace can facilitate this before the meet.

This workshop will be for 8 - 10 people only and will be the same as a face to face workshop, just from the comfort of your own home.  Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with working on-line the tutor will be there to guide you through each step.  Registration is at 10am and the course will commence at 10.30am - this will give the tutor time to help those who might have issues.
