Guy's biography: When people ask him what type of pictures he takes, he is tempted to say that he'll photograph anything that takes his fancy.  He explains that he has always enjoyed landscapes, particularly in the low light of early morning or late evening.  He finds that hidden landscapes can sometimes be found in rock patterns and wood grain, and he will happily spend time looking for such details.  He used rock patterns in his ARPS panel, going from small scale to large but avoiding any indication of size in the images.  Recently he has come to enjoy architectural details and night-time city photography.
Guy is currently on the Committee of Stokesley Photographic Society, having recently stepped down from the job of Programme Secretary after six years, and was Chairman for four years before that.  He does judging at club and inter-club competitions, and has also judged in several international exhibitions.  He is a member of the Photographic Society of America and takes part in a monthly internet study group.
He says he happily embraced the change from film to digital capture, to the extent that once he had got his first digital camera he just did not pick up the film camera again until he gave it away!
Guy obtained his ARPS in 2009, the EFIAP and EPSA in 2011.
Paula's biography: Paula describes herself as a 'butterfly photographer' because, she says, she flits from subject to subject taking a photograph of anything that attracts her. She enjoys being out in the landscape pressing the shutter but gets particular satisfaction from seeking out abstract images in man-made and natural objects that look like landscapes. Her FRPS panel was a good example of this. Paula also enjoys working in her 'studio' with still lifes and flower photography.
Paula is a member and Hon Vice President of Stokesley Photographic Society, having served as Programme Secretary and Competition Secretary in the past; she is currently Secretary. She designed and maintained the club website for a number of years and has helped to run an Improvers Group. She is a Permajet supported lecturer and an invited member of GAMMA PhotoForum. She also actively participates in the United Photographic Postfolios of Great Britain (UPP), currently Vice President and Webmaster as well as being Secretary of Circle 73.
Paula gained her FRPS in May 2007, EFIAP/s and EPSA in 2011.
