In this fast-flowing presentation, Colin Harrison will demonstrate how you can easily produce creative flower photographs. Using many flowers from his small garden near Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, he shows the equipment he uses to photograph them, including home-made lighting and copying gadgets, and shows how the images were then manipulated in various software packages, including Adobe Photoshop, Topaz Studio 2, ON1 and Nik software. He covers many ideas, including sections on how to frame an image, still life photography (with a different approach), insects on flowers and how to use different software. Colin’s enthusiasm for creative flower photography is infectious.
After decades of earning distinctions and awards in international salons Colin Harrison FRPS EFIAP/d3 MFIAP MPAGB APAGB FBPE MPSA GPSA FIPF AWPF turned his considerable experience to a new project on creative flower photography. Colin says, 'Rather than just collecting letters after my name these qualifications stimulate/develop my work and gives me goals to work for. Having sat on "L", "A" and "F" distinction panels for the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and helped run RPS and Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) advisory days, I now enjoy helping people online develop their own photographic skills. I am an approved PAGB National and International judge and have also judged online international exhibitions for the Photographic Society of America (PSA). I have also enjoyed judging for clubs in Australia, Norway, Turkey and the USA’
