Inspired by Art with Jane Lazenby

Jane Lazenby is best known for her creative and equine images, many of which reflect her previous career as a professional portrait artist. In this 90-minute presentation she takes an informative look at how a photographer can draw on art of the past to create art of the future, with a couple live Photoshop edits en route.

"I'm often told I have a unique style to my work. I edit in a very intuitive way without trying to maintain a house style or use a preset, but my background as an equine and portrait artist combined with my knowledge of art history has given me a specialist base from which to create, giving my work a united and cohesive feel. I decided to examine my artistic influences and document how, why and where they have had an effect on the images I create. This is a fascinating and in-depth commentary on how art has influenced my work and contains a live edit to create a great master of your own.”

You will be able to interact with her to ask questions after her session. A brief introduction to using Zoom.

Booking a place

You need to book online in order to access this event. This event is free for Digital Imaging members, but these members still have to ‘purchase’ a (free) ticket to receive a link for joining the event.

Please check whether your membership in the RPS or RPS Digital Imaging is still active before booking your place. This will be checked when ticketing closes, and any mistake could invalidate your ticket. Check your status by logging into the RPS website.
