This Engagement Talk features Nick Hedges.
Nick Hedges has been a documentary photographer for nearly 50 years. He has worked in the field of social affairs with a number of voluntary organisations, including as Photographer and researcher for Shelter, National Campaign for the Homeless 1968-1972.
Nick Hedges’ remarkable photographs for Shelter in the late 1960s and early 1970s were instrumental in changing both public and official attitudes towards a housing crisis that shamed one of the richest nations in the world.
His work is in the collections of the National Media Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid and is archived at the Central Library, Birmingham.
