RSPB Snettisham
Event info
RSPB Snettisham is renowned for its Wader murmurations at high tide, but it has much more to offer than that. The star species include Avocet, Bar Tailed Godwits, Knot, Redshank, Little Egret, and Shelduck, and numerous woodland birds. There are several hides that will hopefully be in use, although it is likely that the wearing of masks may be required. There is also an old jetty that is photogenic. A 100-400 or 150 / 600 lens would be ideal.
There is a large car parking area that is FREE for members and there is a nominal fee for non-members. A circular walk round the reserve is about 4 miles, but it is flat in most places. Please note there are no toilet or restaurant facilities, so you may want to bring drinks / snacks with you.
We will meet at 10am in the car park and arrive back in the car park around 3pm / 4pm. More detailed information including a trail-guide and Risk Assessment will be provided beforehand.
Note: If any member plans to spend a stay-over / long weekend in North Norfolk, please feel free to contact Nick for any advice on accommodation.
RPS Members Free, non-RPS £5
