A 45 acre reserve situated in Norfolk’s Wensum Valley. The reserve has woodland, meadow, reedbeds and open water and is situated alongside the River Wensum. The site is 0.75 miles west of Fakenham signposted from the A148.
There are a wide variety of birds here including Marsh Harrier, Red Kite, Common Buzzard together with woodland and marsh species. The reserve also has butterflies including White Admiral and 17 species of Dragonflies and Damselflies have been recorded. 
Access throughout the reserve is via boardwalks and paths and the whole site is wheelchair friendly. There are seven hides plus viewing platforms and a new hide giving views over a large wader scrape is due to open to visitors during 2022.
Reserve Summer opening times are 8am to 4.30pm.  Entry is by donation - £6 is suggested. There is a tea and coffee machine in the visitor centre. There are two pubs within half a mile serving food.
