01 Marsh Harrier Overhead 1 By John Harvey

Outing to RSPB Titchwell

Event info

RSPB Titchwell is one of my favourite nature reserves and has a wide variety of wildlife including Marsh Harriers, Bitterns, Bearded Tits, Great White Egret, woodland birds, and waders. There are several hides that will hopefully be in use.

There is a reasonable sized car park that is free to all visitors. Members get free entry to the reserve, but non-members will be charged to access the reserve (£5). There are toilet facilities adjacent to the car park and a small restaurant / outside seating area where snacks and drinks are served. Alternatively, you can bring your own picnic.

I suggest that we spend time on the main reserve but, depending on the low tide times, a walk down to the beach to photograph the waders in the mussel beds enables us to get closer to them than you normally would be able to do. If you do not fancy the walk down to the beach, you can spend more time on the reserve.

We will meet at 10am in the car park and leave around 4pm. More detailed information including a trail-guide and Risk Assessment will be provided beforehand.

RPS Members Free, non-RPS £5
