David Garthwaite is a Fine Art Photographer based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. In this talk he will give a step by step guide to how he creates monochrome fine art architectural images.
Being a native of the North of England helped shape his artistic style, drawing him towards a bleaker and darker outlook of everyday locations. Relatively new to photography he has been strongly influenced by the work of Michael Kenna and the style of minimalist high contrast monochromatic work.
His editing style takes influence from Joel Tjintjelaar, which has allowed for greater expression by crafting the luminosity of a scene in a very smooth and realistic way.
