Four years ago Chris Upton came to talk to the RPS about his travel photography and his photographic project about the closure of Thoresby Colliery.
Both parts of his talk proved popular but with many people his project based documentary work telling the story of the workers of Nottingham's last mine, Thoresby Collliery really struck home.
Of course we can't physically meet up at the moment, but Chris is returning to us in person on Tuesday 28th April 2020 via our internet in the second of our virtual talks, the first of which proved highly popular and successful with everyone viewing from their homes
During this visit Chris will concentrate on the Thoresby Colliery story, and how he went about telling the story in a documentary fashion, which resulted in a fabulous book.
