Meetings of the Bookworm Club take place monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month when a member of the Group introduces the work of a photographer of their choice.
To start off the New Year, Roger Towell will introduce the work of one of the greatest living portrait photographers: David Bailey. He first became famous in the 1960s for his brilliant portraits of the celebrities of that era. Roger will be discussing Bailey’s career and bringing the book Bailey’s Stardust as well as Bailey’s Box of Postcards, both published in 2014 by the National Portrait Gallery.
