London:Street September 2020 Photowalk

We are pleased to be able to offer a Street Walk from Waterloo to St Paul's.

Overview

We will meet at Waterloo Station "under the clock", ready to leave at 10:30 am. 

Our walk will take us through Leake Street into Lower Marsh, from there we will visit the Victorian houses of Roupell Street, join the South Bank which we will follow past (or through) Bernie Spain Gardens, past the Oxo Tower and on to the Tate.   After the Tate will will cross the Millennium Bridge to  St Paul's.

We have chosen this location as being familiar for our first walk and one where it will be easy to 'socially isolate'. 

We have deliberately avoided Borough/Borough Market as we are told this is very crowded.   Some of you may wish to catch up with 'Extinction Rebellion' in Parliament Square before or after the walk and another option is the London Mural Festival .- https://www.londonmuralfestival.com/ - the map will not be available until mid-month, but worth a look for sure.

The event is now fully booked with the maximum of eight photographers and two volunteer leaders (Judy and  David Hicks).

Special Information:

We are very much looking forward to picking up our programme of photowalks again and to catching up with you: it has been a long time!  We do however have to add some special notes below:

The walk leaders will be following safe practices in line with social distancing guidance and will require participants to do the same. 

In addition to the usual reminders about wearing sensible shoes and being prepared for the weather (be it hot or cold, wet or dry!), please remember face coverings (for public transport and any time spent in shops or stores) and hand sanitisers.  Also most retailers are no longer accepting cash, so make sure you have a contactless payment card with you.

Should government advice change and local lockdowns occur, for example, causing us to cancel the event, we will contact you as soon as we can.  However, please keep alert for any potential changes and contact us if you have doubts as to whether the walk will run as planned, or not.
