For the first Midweek Explorers Photowalk after Lockdown we will visit Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. This event will be led by Roger Towell in a small group of just six - to comply with Government Regulations.
The plan is to meet at Broomfield Hill Car Park at 11.00am and to walk from there to Isabella Plantation to enjoy the rhododendrons, azaleas and the gardens in general, usually lovely in the Spring. There will be plenty to photograph and to admire, if this year follows the pattern of previous years!
We expect our round trip (from the coffee kiosk in Broomfield Hill Car Park and back again) to take about two hours but if people wish to extend (or shorten) their walk, there are plenty of opportunities to do so.
For those who are coming on public transport, it is a relatively short and enjoyable walk from the 85 Bus Stop at Warren Road (Ladderstile Gate) on Kingston Hill to the our meeting point at Broomfield Hill via the Tamsin Trail. There is Blue Badge parking and access at Peg's Pond Gate too and we can arrange to meet up there, if you advise us that you are coming that way.
N.B. Because we are limited to a total of six attendees, we are willing to run this walk twice if there is sufficient interest. If you try to book, and the event and its waiting list are full, please send Roger an e-mail: Londonurban@rps.org and we will see what can be arranged.
We are really looking forward to seeing many of you in person again.
