Midweek Explorers regular monthly PHOTOWALK

This month the Mid Week Explorers visit west London, beginning at Ladbroke Grove and then going to Holland Park via Portobello Market.

The meeting point is Caffe Nero, opposite Ladbroke Grove Tube station (Hammersmith & City, Circle). Be ready to leave by 11:15am.

We explore this end of Ladbroke Grove before taking one of the many side streets (with colourful houses) to Portobello Market. There are few antique stalls here during the week but there are others offering food, fruit & veg and bric-a-brac. And you may wish to look for a house with a rather famous blue door.

We make our way towards Holland Park, crossing Holland Park Avenue and entering the park via Holland Walk, after passing the Statue of Saint Volodymyr.

We explore the park and take refreshments at the Holland Park Café, nearby the Japanese Gardens. And you may even hear a diva rehearsing opera, or spot a peacock or two? We exit the park by way of the Kensington High Street gate into Kensington High Street, just beside the Design Museum. You may wish to visit this museum your own time.

High Street Kensington station (District, Circle) and nearby Kensington Olympia stations (Overground, District) offer transport home. And of course, buses are also available at all good bus stops.
